Stitched Memory
Valentine's Day

The shirt he wore when you met,
stitched into something you can hold.

A handcrafted keepsake bear or pup made from a piece of clothing that carries your story together — the shirt from a first date, the dress from a proposal, a favorite flannel from the couch.

Why a Valentine's keepsake

The Valentine that outlives the chocolates.

Most Valentine's gifts are consumed, displayed briefly, or forgotten by March. A keepsake made from something you both remember — the shirt he wore on a first date, the dress from an anniversary, the flannel you stole from his closet in year one — is the kind of gift that sits on a shelf for decades.

What to send

The clothes that carry your story

One garment is enough for a single keepsake. Sending two or more pieces Katie can combine is a small +$20 upgrade — because piecing the story together by hand takes noticeably longer at the machine.

The shirt they actually wore

Not the one saved for photos — the one that lived in the laundry basket. Cotton shirts, flannel, soft knits. The fabric with wear-marks is usually the one that carries the most of them.

A favorite hoodie or sweatshirt

Soft cotton and cotton blends work wonderfully. Pockets, drawstrings, screen-printed logos — most of it usually survives the transformation.

Something from a specific season

A team tee, a concert shirt, a uniform top — anything that marks a year or a chapter. Piecing a specific season into the keepsake makes it a bookmark you can hold.

A baby or childhood piece

A onesie, a favorite toddler dress, the blanket they wouldn't let go of. Small keepsakes often want small fabric memories inside.

A note on fabric: Cotton, wool, flannel, and cotton blends work beautifully. Slick modern athletic polyester (most pro-style dri-fit jerseys) doesn't piece cleanly. If you're unsure, send Katie a photo first — she's happy to tell you what will work.

Katie stitches it by hand

Each keepsake is cut and sewn one at a time. Pockets, logos, buttons, patches — every detail that made the garment theirs is placed with intention.

03

Theirs to keep

The finished keepsake arrives with a sewn-in NFC tag that opens a private gallery — the perfect place for every date-night photo that has been sitting unlabeled in a camera roll for years.

Valentine's Day questions

The ones families ask most

Will it arrive in time for Valentine's Day?
Only if you order sixty days ahead — by mid-December. Four to six weeks of craft plus shipping means later orders can slip past the 14th. If you are reading this in January, it will likely be an early-March gift. That tends to land better than chocolates anyway.
Is this really a romantic gift?
It is the kind of romantic gift that takes a minute to land. The reaction is usually not a gasp — it is a long pause, then a look down at what is in their hands, then something quiet. A keepsake made from a shirt you both remember is harder to joke about than a teddy bear from a gas station.
What if we do not have a shirt with meaning?
Any cotton or flannel piece you both have memories in works — a road-trip sweatshirt, the shirt from your wedding rehearsal, the first coat you bought together. We are happy to help you pick one if you send photos.
What kinds of clothing work best?
Cotton shirts, flannel, soft knits, baby clothes, team tees, cotton-blend hoodies. Slick modern athletic polyester (most dri-fit jerseys) does not piece cleanly. If you are unsure about something, send Katie a photo first — she is happy to tell you what will work and what will not.
How long does it take?
Four to six weeks from the day your clothing arrives at the studio, plus about a week of shipping on each end. For time-sensitive gifts we recommend starting at least sixty days before the date — earlier is always better than a rush.
What if I want a keepsake after the date has passed?
Every bit as meaningful — often more so, once the moment has settled. A lot of families commission keepsakes weeks or months after the holiday, the service, or the milestone. The story does not have a deadline.
